See'n'Sound Description |
|
| |
See''n''Sound 1.0 is a software composed by two applications. The client is an animation paths to MIDI messages converter plug-in for Alias Maya 6 or later. The Server is a stand alone applications for remote control and routing of MIDI messages to audio workstations. They communicate via TCP/IP and it is possible to install them on two different computers, even on two different OS.
The client must be installed on the computer hosting Maya, the server can be installed where preferred, even on the same computer of the client. See'n'Sound is a real time plug-in for Alias Maya that fills a gap between video and audio 3D applications. Translate, rotate and scale XYZ coordinates are extracted from up to eight models'' animation paths of your 3D scene and real time converted into MIDI messages.
Those messages, sent to software or hardware audio workstations, will permit the user to change surround pannings, reverb times, dimensions, type of the rooms and whatever the user needs to achieve a perfect matching between 3D models and audio paths for cinema or video games scene production. The perfect companion for this software is A&G X-spat boX, the DSP expansion with the patent pending A&G 3D audio Spatialisation algorithm included plus real time Doppler and ITD.
Using X-spat, the depht and the height sensations are deeply enhanced and automatically reproduced in 5.1, 7.1 or similar output configurations. Among the others features please note the Select Camera check box that changes the origin of the axes and therefore the point of view, or rather point of hearing, of the audience. You can choose any of the cameras available in the Maya scene. The version for Windows XP is also Propellerheads Rewire2 compatible, and provides a second column in the 'Link Object' window with nine independent fields able to send custom MIDI Control Change messages to external softwares like Cubase SX and similar.
