Compatibility
The system is 100% compatible with Windows NT, 98, Me, 2000, XP The system works on all types of Local Area Networks (Wired and Wireless)

Security
Uses windows sockets for communications. No need to map drives and share a central database file You can transfer any file to or from any station without requiring file sharing from Windows Installs optionally as a windows shell - Windows boots into the application rather than the desktop/start menu Users cannot login to different machines at the same time using the same user ID and password System administrator can choose to : Disable/enable Ctrl-Alt-Del keys Hide / Show disk drives from My Computer Disable / Enable file downloads from Explorer Assign a general login script for all users or specific scripts per user System cannot be shutdown or viewed in the task list. The process runs as a system service. The process has a shadow process protecting it (Unique) Three levels of security (System Administrator, Super User, and operator) - in addition to the regular subscription accounts
General Features
Supports Prepaid (membership) accounts and Postpaid (pay per use) accounts. Gives LAN-Cafes the option to specify users as Post or Prepaid accounts (Unique) Supports Accounting (if enabled) : Users can have open accounts where balances can accumulate on them (pay per use) View daily or date range accounting information for an individual operator or the whole revenue for the day Supports for payment-into-account : Users can pay off their outstanding amounts Search for users by first name, last name or by ID Supports user ID renaming and password resetting Users can change their passwords after logging in Flexible and Dynamic Pricing : Supports different pricing methods. You can have the system charge the morning hours less than the evening hours. System supports bulk pricing and special offers. Associate pictures to applications in the application launch menu. Clicking on an application name, shows the relevant picture next to it Assign a welcome message for the users to view once logged in Customize the application to include your name and logo on the login page
Live Data
Monitor users' activity, state-of-the-art who's online screen shows the currently signed in users with time remaining per each client. This page shows off a list of all the stations available. It can identify idle non used machines, used machines, and hung up or turned off machines Administrator has the choice of adding more time to already logged in clients or kick client out of the machine Waiting List (Unique) : LAN-Control comes in with an integrated Waiting List. Users can be added to the list. Once a station is free, it will be reserved to that user - unless the user either logs in somewhere else, or removed from the list by the admin Precision : The second (00:00:01) is the unit of time used in the system. Users logged off with time left in their account can log in again any time to consume the remainder Application Customization (Unique)
Users can have roaming profiles for each application. Users find their saved configurations on one PC available on all PCs. This is a great feature for computer games such as Counter-Strike.
Messaging
System administrators can send messages to users. Messages appear as tickers on the top of the screen - even if the user has his/her windows on top of the application. System will alert users prior to the expiry of their time. Alerts will be shown as a small window on top. Ranking System (Unique)
System will automatically rank the users. Users with lower ranks are active and revenue generating clients. Top 30 are considered VIPs by the system. Administrator can manually override VIP status and assign more clients as VIPs Multiple Station Types (Unique) : System administrator can specify two kinds of stations; VIP systems and normal systems. VIP systems can only be logged on by VIPs, and are not subject to be reserved by the waiting list. Point of Sale System (POS)
A point of sale system that can be used to sell snacks, etc. Daily accounting and weekly totals of quantities sold per item and total prices are logged. Reports & Statistics
The system provides graphical charts for : Hours Consumption per day or a given period Revenue Generated per day or a given period HTML reports for sales revenue per day or a given period Advanced Features
Administrators can login remotely (from home or office) to view reports and the online status of the facility - provided there is a link between two sites (Unique). Administrators can login from any machine. No need to be at the server or the admin station to perform tasks Take full control over the mouse / keyboard of any remote machine. Or you can choose to view only Administrators can shutdown or restart any machine (one by one, or all at the same time) Uninterruptible Service (Unique): You can turn off the server and even restart it as clients are connected. During this time, no new clients can login, however, existing logged on users can still work with no interruption. The program is smart enough to detect service interruption and starts to count locally the time remaining of the user. Once the connection is back to the server, the time is updated on the user's profile. |
