When you load text into Rabbit, the program will guide you word by word, sentence by sentence, until the reading is finished. Its like using your finger to guide yourself when you read a book. Its a simple thing, but it keeps you focused on what youre reading. Rabbit does this for you in an advanced, interesting way.
Rabbit uses four techniques to improve your reading speed and comprehension. The first technique will pop up one word at a time on your screen. Its like reading through flash cards except they can move extremely fast. The second reading mode will show several words at a time.
These words are lined up in a normal paragraph, so your eyes move as they normally would. The third and fourth reading techniques are the same, but they are displayed differently. These reading modes will show all of the words in the text, but they will outline or highlight certain words for you to focus on. All four reading techniques will change words on a timed interval that you can adjust. You can also adjust the number of words displayed and the font and color of the words.
Want to track your comprehension progress? Rabbit can create a comprehension test containing fill-in-the-blank items. Your test scores will be stored in a text file for future reference, and Rabbit can instantly create a test for any text you load into the program.
In addition to these reading tools, Rabbit has a virtual flash card feature. This lets you create flash cards on your computer when you want to study for a test, learn a language, or just learn anything. The flash cards have several options such as saving and creating flash card files, shuffling the cards, or reversing the question and answer. |
