The Power Data Protection Module (DPM) program provides a facility to enable any person or organisation to easily protect secret or otherwise sensitive data files. This is done by encoding, or encrypting, such files so that only those with the correct password may de-code them. Once files have been encoded they cannot be viewed or run on any computer, even with special software tools. They can however be cut, paste, copied, deleted, sent via e-mail or transferred to other machines.
The program can encode, text files, Word documents, sound and picture files, as well as program or other operating system component files, in fact any type of file can be encoded using PowerDPM.

KEY FEATURES
PowerDPM is easy to install, runs on any Windows' operating system, is fast loading, secure, and is simple to use.
Any number of people using different passwords to encrypt their files may use the same installation. In addition, a Master Password facility exists and this may be also applied to encrypt files if desired, so that only one password needs to be remembered.
The program includes a file wipe facility built in, so as to prevent file or file-data recovery. However this may be easily enabled or disabled from the tool-bar.
A wide variety of warning and caution dialogues are included and most of these may be selectively turned on or off through the Options settings. |
