  Calorie Counter Description
The program lists calories and other nutrients and helps you analyze over 6000 foods from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture SR 14 Data Base. The data is the most current available and descriptions can be matched easily with what you find in grocery stores around the country. This allows you to get more precise results since a key step is to actually buy the food which conforms to your diet, weight loss, or nutrition plan.

Unique features (not found anywhere else) include:

Long description of food makes finding the right food in the store easier
Uses latest foods with over 6000 from the USDA data base 2001 release 14
Colorization of table entries makes it very easy to identify high/low data
Colorization makes comparing data among columns easy also
Right Click columns to sort, find, copy, filter, compare
Has two common household measure columns to help you use data effortlessly
Use of statistical techniques to determine food significance

Besides calories, the program gives information on carbohydrates, protein, fiber, fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. Data can be compared for 100 gram portions or for two other common household measures e.g. by cup or tablespoon. The program is easy, fun, and quick to work with, and you use it with any diet, weight loss, or nutrition plan. You analyze the nutrients to find the highest or lowest value for a nutrient via the sort function; then also you quickly compare other nutrient columns to make sure that you have not found a low value for one nutrient at the expense of a high nutrient value in another column. The colored cells make this extremely easy.
