dAM, the Ancestor Manger (AhnMan)
With AhnMan you get your ancestor administration into the handle. You can save extensive data for
- persons (1)
- families
- addresses
- pictures
- sources
- event data () and
- own criteria
in the AhnMan data base.
(1) e.g. last name, maiden name, forename, first name, sex, more first names, father, mother, adopted, family line, profession, denomination, source, stranger number, AFN, RFN, source, remarks, died.
() e.g. birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage, divorce, death, burial, christening, cremation, adoption, confirmation, first communion, ordination to the priesthood, naturalization, emigration, immigration, national census, will confirmation, will, Graduation, retirement, divorce petition, engagement, contingent, marriage contract, marriage permission, marriage contract
The number of the objects to be stored isnt restricted practically. Lay out arbitrarily many data bases of your own.
You use AhnMan with various search possibilities, store often used search conditions in the data base, you navigate simply and comfortably through the complete data stock.
With help of the various interfaces you can import external data in the following formats:
ASCII text files (with logical columns)
MS EXCEL tables
GEDCOM files (version 5.5.1)
The export is also possible in these formats, in addition also as XML file.
Produce a complete internet presence of all of your data. All generated pages are hyperlinked to each other. You can produce (optional) data sheets, ancestor lists, descendant lists, genealogical tables, ancestor trees, pictures, addresses sheets, user data sheets, search lists and more. Do this all in 5 different languages (German, English, French Italian, Spanish). Decide, which private data you will publish.
Print various reports and evaluations.
Of course, a complete, context sensitive on-line help is integrated.
AhnMan is based on the MS Access97 data base. |
