Cloudmark Desktop Description |
|
| |
The Power of the Cloudmark Collaborative Network Only Cloudmark has the power to apply human feedback in real time to block spam, phishing, and additionally many viruses and spyware. Leveraging a highly sophisticated Trust Evaluation System (TeS) and groundbreaking technology, feedback is corroborated in real time, so that only a few people ever have to see a spam email before it is blocked for everyone. Cloudmark Desktop is entirely transparent and requires no configuration, making it powerful, yet simple and easy to use.
Reputation Cloudmark models digital reputation the same way as reputation works in the real world. Each user starts with a neutral reputation. Reputation typically rises when a user is among the first to identify undesirable content. Conversely, reputation falls when a user falsely reports spam. And just as in life, a good reputation takes time to build. The result is a system that is automated, highly scalable and resistant to tampering.
How it works
When content is received, Cloudmark Desktop generates a set of fingerprints and sends them to the Cloudmark service.
Cloudmark evaluates the fingerprints based on the feedback from the Cloudmark network of users.
Cloudmark Desktop blocks the content if the fingerprints are determined to be undesirable.
Users have the option to press the Block or Unblock buttons in the unlikely event that an email is not correctly identified.
When a user presses the Block button, fingerprints are generated and sent to the Cloudmark service. TeS looks at the users reputation and, depending on their individual reputation, a confidence level is applied to that message to determine whether it should be blocked. This fully automated real-time process ensures that all users are immediately protected from new attacks. |
