Mireks Cellebration (MCell) is a feature-rich 3-bit Windows Cellular Automata explorer. Its main purpose is enjoying existing and creating new rules and patterns of Conways Game of Life and other Cellular Automata.
The program supports 14 different CA families: Life, Generations, Weighted Life, Vote for Life, Rules tables, Cyclic CA, 1-D totalistic CA, 1-D binary CA, General binary, Neumann binary, Larger than Life, Margolus, User DLLs, and Special rules.
The program is equipped in over 300 rules (for example famous Conways Life, HighLife, Day & Night, Long life, Diamoeba, Fredkin, Vote 4/5, Brians Brain, Star Wars, DNA, GreenHast, Rug, RainZha, Swirl, HGlass, Sticks, Career, Venus, WireWorld, and more) and over 1000 pattern files.
Open DLL interface allows programming own rules not limited by MCells design. OLE Automation interface allows experienced users to extend the programs features and to perform scientific analysis.
MCell is able to read and save Cellular Automata patterns in all popular formats available on the Internet. |
