To pick up the signal Frequency Tuner uses the built-in Multi Media system of the Pocket PC. The build-in microphone picks up the sound. To get a stable signal it is important to switch of Automatic Gain Control. The signal is sampled at 11.025 kHz (8 bits/sample), which is more than enough to measure most common notes.
Each measurement consists of 8192 samples (8 kB) which covers a measurement time of 0,743 seconds. This time is long enough to measure low frequencys. Frequency Tuner measures frequencys from 16 Hz. |
