VersionBackup Description |
|
| |
Backup Archive Systems usually are used in server environments.
They have a wider functionality range than the backup copy programs, which are the conventional backup solution for PCs. Backup copy programs only care about the creation of backup copies, but they do not manage the stock of backup files.
VersionBackup is the Backup Archive System for Single User PCs and networks.
The main features of Release 3.2 are: Navigation bar in the path configuration dialogs: Additional buttons in each path configuration dialog page allow switching to the corresponding page of a different Source Path. Verify: When this feature is switched on, the backups will be checked byte by byte immediately after creation. Automatic copy run restart: If the backup copy at shutdown has been aborted or if it could not be completed, it will be repeated at the next system start. Button to view the log in the error dialog: When an error list is displayed after an incomplete copy run, the log viewer can be started with a single mouse click. Standard entries for the Exclusion List: The new button Standard adds some typical entries to exclude files from the backup. More easy deletion of Exclusion- and Force-Entries: In the Exclusion List and the Force List, several entries can be selected at the same time to delete them in one step. Additional info in the Statistics Report: Source Paths, which are switched off for archiving, are marked with *) in the column To Archive. Storing the shutdown default settings can be switched off: In the Shutdown Dialog there is a new checkbox controlling whether the current shutdown settings shall be valid even for later shutdown runs. |
