Is it up or Is it down? IsItUp is a full featured network device monitoring software application that will monitor multiple network devices around the clock and notifies you, via email or pager, of the status of that network device, when it goes down, and when it comes back up! IsItUp will test any TCP/IP networked device by using the PING protocol.
IsItUp also monitors websites by testing the server using HTTP, not PING. IsItUp maintains complete statistics for each network device it monitors, up time, maximum response time, minimum response time, standard deviation and a host of other measurements. What's more, it tracks the last successful and last failed Traceroute to a destination so it can determine where the break-down occurred. This is a great feature for tracing intermittent problems that are not caused by the system being monitored.
IsItUp has a unique feature built specifically for email server monitoring through our email loop back test. IsItUp monitors the status of email systems, such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Groupwise or any MAPI or POP3 and SMTP compliant mail system by sending a probe email message to a destination email account that has an auto-reply rule set up. IsItUp measures the elapse time of the round trip from your site to the target email system and back. |
